I very much enjoyed the story. Ken Follet is an excellent writer and storyteller. John Lee is one of the best readers I've ever listened to. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are a few things that happen that seem slightly corny or unbelievable, but on the whole it is very good.

It is simply PHENOMENAL

I stayed up until 4 am to finish it. Ken Follet combined real history with his creation, creating a masterpiece. I has action, love, intrigue, it has its slow moments, it has fast-paced moments. Anything I say will not be enough to describe how much I enjoyed this book

As I started this book I was disappointed because it seemed like it was going to mirror the first two books in the series. After reading a few chapters I set it aside for a few days and had a couple false starts with other books. I reluctantly returned and was happy that the emphasis was much different in this book. Its a lot more politically focused with little time being spent in Kingsbridge. In the end, I appreciated the change and enjoyed the book.
