This work has charming banter, steamy scenes, and a HEA. I think the relishing of murder and violence even against serial killers with details just personally was unappealing to me.

This book has the absolute audacity to be charming. Deeply disturbing, graphic…but also swoony and sweet and funny. I’m absolutely baffled by how much I enjoyed B&B. It’s not for everyone- on page sex scenes (there’s only a couple but 🔥🔥🔥) are very detailed. Murders and attempted murders are graphic AF and I ended up skipping 98% of a chapter. I did a read/listen combo and can’t say enough good things about the narrators and production- superb. I loved them! There’s two pages of trigger/content warnings. Heed them before reading. That said, I’m so looking forward to the second installment.

First of all, why did I have to wait over 200 pages for spice? Unacceptable in a dark romance, in my humble opinion. Secondly, there are only a handful of spicy scenes and the majority of those are only moderately spicy. This book was interesting and so weird. I’m annoyed at everyone who freaked the fuck out about the ice cream scene. It was definitely less disgusting than some elements that came to light prior to the ice cream. Still gross but not worth the hype if I say so myself. The book is pretty decent but I wouldn’t categorize it as dark romance cause there’s not enough spice. All in all, a quick and engaging book that’s easy to get through in a few hours.

Haven’t rated a book in a while but this was so funny. It’s been on my tbr for a while now and I’m so glad I went for it 😹 so good and I’m looking forward to leather and lark when it’s released!

If you liked the show "Dexter," then you might like this book.  Two serial killers who only target "bad" serial killers get together.  The book is very funny, and there is lots of sex.  I can see why it's a TikTok favorite.  The author nicely gives you a two-page warning of content triggers at the beginning of the book, so you can decide if this is something you'd want to read.  I found it entertaining, but I tend to like the macabre.
