Sweet and a nice continuation of the story. Super predictable and cliched, but a very fast read.
Talk about a sweet surprise when I saw KA Tucker was releasing a novella for The Simple Wild series. This book follows Calla and Jonah during the holiday season. Short, sweet, and so good! I can’t get enough of the amazing Alaskan setting. This book was just what I needed until the next book comes out.
You need to read The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart before reading this novella.
Synopsis: From the publisher: “The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon's arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding ... in Toronto. Add in one bullheaded neighbor's unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor's own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper's Crossing will be anything but simple.”
I discovered The Simple Wild, earlier this year, and was excited to find there was the sequel, Wild At Heart, and then even more excited that Forever Wild was happening.
There isn’t much to say, except it was a perfect end to the series. It was short, but sweet and fans of the first two books will love it.
I love the way Calla and Jonah’s story was written. I feel like many romance novels focus on just the romance, which is fine if that’s what you’re in the mood for, but I like how K.A. Tucker paints a background story as well. I love all the supporting characters and how they play into their story, giving it depth. I’m sad to see this story end, but am very happy with the surprises at the end of the epilogue. You’ll just have to read it to find out what those are.

Such a good novella and ending to Calla and Jonah’s story. Also… I love Roy lol.
this novella and the last novel just feel like we’re flipping through someone’s diary and not reading a cohesive story and it doesn’t help that there are literally no consequences or challenges for anyone
Roy and his relationship with his daughter? quickly resolved without almost any conflict
Mabel and her pre-teenage angst? she makes a friend and gets lost and oh well… let’s just move on
Mabel and Agnes’ move to Calla and Jonah’s backyard? Not a single issue from anyone, not even the supposedly angsty pre-teen
Astrid and Bjorn and their years of a bad relationship? oops Jonah just misread the entire situation because Bjorn gets off his ass once
and now you’re telling me we’re supposed to care about Marie who hasn’t even been present in this novella…. bandit the raccoon has a larger role is this novella and he does NOTHING
⭐️⭐️⭐️

The only complaint I have is that it wasn’t long enough! I can’t get enough of these two! Love this entire series!!

Idk why because I rarely cry at books and this series isn’t crazy sad but all 3 books have made me cry :( and it’s always a scene related to wren or Simon ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Original rating khusus untuk novella ini sebenernya 4/5 ya.
Tapi setelah gue pikir-pikir 4 bintang kurang aja untuk mewakili series ini secara keseluruhan, secara ini series masuk salah satu series romance favorit gue, and Jonah is one of the best fictional boyfriend written by woman, the fact that laki macam dia kagak ada di dunia nyata gue got me like
