Inspiriring.

The part about not able to let go who you wish to be rings very deeply with me. I also love the author summarize and outlined the steps you need when you want to follow the challenge.

Worth a re-read for me.

The author's overall goal was great, and she is decently skilled at writing, but I worry that she needed more mental health help for her problems than she got.

I probably should have read more reviews prior to reading this. I thought it would be the perfect read for starting a New Year, and while I appreciated the bits of not shopping, getting rid of your stuff that serves no purpose and really be intentional with what you consume- it felt kinda complain-y. I appreciate the author sharing her sobriety journey and dealing with her parents divorce as an adult but the title made it seem we would get more insight on how to live with less. Read the last chapter if you want to learn now to consume less and skip the rest.

Less about reducing consumption than it is about the author's tendency to overindulge and subsequent refusal to allow herself to indulge in anything at all. Some relatable and relevant tidbits but it felt a little Spartan in a way that's largely unhelpful to anyone who believes in responsibly enjoying life.
