Pretty inessential unless you want to see Gambit and Fantomex throw down. It’s a little repetitive, but not terrible. The art isn’t great.

Not exactly bad. Just lame. Added nothing new. Had that feel of knowing the surface of the characters but not the heart of them. And the art was just subtlety off. And the backup story of the first encounter between the Inhumans and Magneto was just a little bit annoying. 2.5 of 5.

A slight volume. As a fan of X-Men through the films I thought I would dip into the comics. This volume.only contains 4 X-Men issues from the Civil War event, which are solid enough. X-Factor issues feel weak filler, the Deadpool is entertaining, but not what the title suggests the collection will be about.

I'm having a lot of fun reading through all of the Civil War II books, but *man* a lot of them are bad. This one has a silly, contrived *EPIC BATTLE* which is resolved in literally one stupid frame, and the art repeatedly made me cringe. Blech.

Dude who's fighting for what? Why are the X-Men even involved in this war

Also the Inhumans are the WORST. They're so freaking territorial

So this was definitely more of a lead in to the AvI event that's coming up rather than an actual storyline. I don't know. It was okay, but not great. Nothing special. And rather long winded and preachy. And at this point, I just expect more from an X-Men comic, you know?
