This is undoubtedly one of the best compilations of Chinese Communist propaganda to date. Filled with full page posters, artwork, and icons, this book gives excellent and meticulous information regarding the ideology and symbolism reflected in these works, and ultimately, the vital importance of propaganda before and throughout the Cultural Revolution. I highly recommend this to anyone with interest in Chinese propaganda, or Mao's cult of personality.
