I received this book in my reveal romance book subscription box so I really didn’t know what to expect but it was great!

Bristyn is all about female empowerment and making sure women get the same treatment men do. She is married, albeit for convenience, and working her way to the top of the local news station.

Holt has his eyes on her from day one but he has to figure out what is happening with her marriage and essentially offers her her dream job in exchange for being his.

Messy? Definitely
Spicy? 5/5
No tear jerker moments for me in this book
I definitely liked that it was a change of pace in the sense that your FMC is married and not willing to take advantage of that.

This book just took me out of a book slump. I can’t believe I will say this, but can I get stuck in an elevator with the hit billionaire boss? And I hate elevators!

Holt is the CEO of a major news company, while Brystin is in local news trying to make it to the major networks.

Holt is not in the position he is in without being manipulative. Brystin calling him an assholt is priceless. This book reminds me of Indecent Proposal, except you have a POS husband in the mix. I couldn’t stand the guy. Wore people start saying there is cheating, it’s an open marriage. One she agreed on.

I love reading about their journey, even though Holt passed me off a few times. The chemistry is smoking hot

Is Brystin the name of a human woman? This author thinks Eurydice had to resist turning around to see Persephone instead of Orpheus turning to see Eurydice? This was a hard couple to care about.
