this was interesting and it ended up being deeper than I thought it would from the beginning. I enjoyed the characters, the drama, the cat, and the evolving plot. I look forward to continuing the series.

Okay, so it's not quite as mythology based as the title might have you think. Other than the MMC being named Ares/Mars, if there were other hints at mythology, I completely missed them. Overall, however, I loved this book! The smut was hottt 🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥 and the story was so so good. Aurora finding herself through everything she went through was also satisfying. I fell in love with the characters and their world.

This is a really fun take on fated mates and wolf shifters. I absolutely love the characters and the drama that unfolds and this setting.
Mars/Ares - (who we later find out has disassociative identity disorder) is the alpha of the east lands,
is notoriously known as a savage beast that destroys other packs.

Of course he ends up as the fated mate to female alpha- Aurora. A nineteen year old shifter who… can’t really shift.
During a horrible and tragic accident that left Aurora completely paralyzed, the only thing to save her life, was to put this very mystical rock in her spinal cord, to prevent her from being paralyzed from the neck down. This special rock is what all the rogues are after and so is Ares. He’s willing to do anything for this rock. And what people can only assume is for more power. They couldn’t be more wrong about him though…

Now the title, the cover, and even the premise of the book sounds kind of cheesy, but this book was so juicy and delicious that I absolutely ate it up in one night. Tons of spice. Banter. And hilarious moments with Ruffles… a pet cat.

Aurora and Aries do end up finding love pretty quickly, considering this is a series of books, but I am completely obsessed with the storyline and I cannot wait to see where it goes! Full of action and drama. I love it.
