the comfort in this novels absurdity is unparalleled. 

the novels able to share an extremely tragic and dark story while simultaneously cracking jokes and making the weight of the book feel so light. a must read for those who appreciate more reflective historical pieces with some nice sci fi.

Most of my warning come from the fact that this takes place during World War Two. A bombing is an event of the book, which I would not consider as it is mentioned within the first few pages of the book. So just be cautious as any events that make you upset about wwii is most likely in here.

Wow, this was really good. Horrifying and gross and very of-its-time writing style (complete with more than a few eye-roll-y choices but whatever), but I liked how it played with structure and narration.
