Disappointing.
I really adore Bleach and Kubo's ability to make fascinating characters and world's. However, it seems to end with that. While it has some of my most favourite characters of all time, their growth seems stagnant. The powers and fights stop making sense at a point. But the absolutely dismaying thing of it all is the general shounen-ness of it. A huge chunk of the complete manga is gan service. As a female person reading this, I wanted it to have one strong female character that was close to their male comrades and was not sexualised. Kubo and most of the shounen world seems obsessed with looking at potentially great female characters as sexual objects - all following the typical dere troupes. Rukia is somewhat of an exception but it's definitely not enough. The ending feels rushed as well.
