Re-read. This is the series that got me back into reading for fun after college...little did I know what an avalanche it would become.

I devoured these first time I read them and I still enjoyed the strong female protagonist this time around and the continuous eruption of plot twists. I can't wait to continue.

This is my second time reading this book. Still love it. That last chapter - chefs kiss. There are two things that bother me though…
1st. Mort is literally useless. He could have not existed in this book, and nothing would change. I don’t get the point of him. 2nd. I felt like Celaena should’ve been more upset about finding out Nehemia betrayed her all that time. It doesn’t feel like it fits her character to just look past that and still hold all the love for her.
Cannot wait for the next one.

The last quarter was full of twists and betrayal and moved really quickly.  I’m excited for Book 3!
