I enjoyed this little story about a cross country coach facing his own high school insecurities in the face of a new scholarship kid. Although I didn't run cross country in high school but my brother and friends did and growing up in MA, the mountain scenes and the camp before the season aspect really brought me back. Wanted a little more from the ending but I really got a good glimpse of Li's writing and I'm eager to read more!
