Well...
Totally not what I was expecting, so there is that. Very well written and lots of twist and turns. Ayla is definitely not what I expected either.

She saved him after seeing him once? Becoming an amputee threw my off but I kept reading. The stalking for 2 years things was kind of off-putting and I didn’t find it as endearing as she eventually did. No dual POV. I didn’t know if this was supposed to be a harem but it seems like it is. Average book, not the biggest fan of Ayla but it’s fine. All of the guys really came around and were great with Ayla. HUGE cliffhanger.
A great and intense start to the series I have absolutely loved the characters I wasn't sure what was going to happen but I'll came to really enjoy the book and finish it with a few hours
Books with like primal attraction/instalove just don’t make sense outside of omegaverse/shifter/fated mates type stories. Gives me the ick
Not sure if it’s actually a spoiler or not but I’ve put the spoiler warning on it anyway. But I didn’t expect this book to be a reverse harem or a trilogy. I went into it thinking it was an interconnected standalone series and am now needing to read the next book. Not 100% sure if it’s going to actually be a reverse harem but that’s the vibe so far

Overview: A life for a life, a bullet that tears through flesh can tear through your future too. How much does a repayment of debt mean, is it worth your sanity?
—
Characters:
Ayla: She’s a strong female lead I’ll give it to her. I like that her back story isn’t necessarily easy, she struggled to make a life for herself and lives paycheck to paycheck. In all honesty she’s relatively tolerable but I don’t like her. I feel as though her character is very ‘pick me’ even though she won’t admit it. I would also like to comment on the fact that I feel like she stops trying to fight Marcus especially too early. Like he just admitted to stalking you, refuses to leave you alone, and is violent as hell but thats sexy now? I hope to see some improvement from her in the next book. She has so much to work with and I hope the material is used to it’s potential.
Marcus: Another character I’m not a fan of. I understand that he believes he’s living on borrowed time and he’s grateful for it but the way he’s written makes me kind of uncomfortable. It feels too busy, almost predatory in a way that isn’t attractive. I will say I really like how his character was introduced with the multicolored eyes, I feel like that’s an interesting detail. I hope to see improvement for him too in the upcoming book because it’s getting to be too much too fast.
Theo: I really liked his character honestly. I think he is what buffs out the uncomfortable parts of the series. I enjoy the fact that even through his charm he’s given a brain and conscience. I feel like his character is going to be so important throughout the next two books, so even though we don’t get to see a lot of him I can’t wait to see where his character goes.
Ryland: Debatably my favorite character in the entire series so far. At the beginning I couldn’t stand him, which of course. He was rude and easily irritated with Ayla over something she had no choice in beyond stepping in front of that bullet 2 years ago. But after we got to hear his side of the story I was absolutely smitten, I love when a man isn’t selfish. He tried to keep her at a distance because that was the right thing to do even though it spiraled out into something more. I cannot wait to see the relationship develop between the characters because I feel like he has so much to contribute.

Important Details:
- This is an age gap romance with themes that are less typical and tend to be unexpected.
- If you struggle with violence, multiple partner relationships, or vivid recollections of traumatic experiences it might not be the series for you.
- This book is 1F, 3M

Final Thoughts:
Overall it was easy to read so I’m grateful for that. I believe this book is relatively old so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt of being better than my opinion. I felt that the book felt very ‘wattpad’ in that it was relatively immature and not always put together correctly. I will say I hope to see where the story goes, It could be a great book if given the right material. My biggest concern in the series is the amount of control the men especially Marcus hold over Ayla. It feels borderline abusive and dismissive to her. I feel that this book could either be great or terrible and currently it’s teetering the line. Would I recommend the book? Probably not. Is it the worst thing I’ve ever read? Definitely not. I will say this book has some of the most beautiful lines, I feel as though I am highlighting so many sentences I hope to never forget. Honestly it’s more enjoyable than I make it out to be.

Recap: *Spoilers*
Two years ago while at a bar Ayla made eye contact with one of the most beautiful men she had ever seen. When she went outside to smoke a cigarette she over heard his conversation with his friends and couldn’t pull herself away. Soon she heard gun shots and for a reason unknown to herself she jumped in front of the bullet about to hit him.
That was two years ago. Now she lost the arm that got shot and has been living on her own since. Until she’s about to be mugged at the three men from that night come to save her. It seems like a weird act of fate until she realizes they’ve been watching her, every single minute since that night.
Now that she knows the men stop hiding in the shadows. The relationships are picking up and Ayla gives in and sleeps with Marcus in a fit of anger. The next night she kisses Theo his best friend. The group’s attraction is getting tense and there’s little that can be done to stop it now.
At the end of the book Ayla gets left at Marcus’ house while he, Theo, and Ryland take a weekend trip. A fire breaks out at Ayla’s apartment and she rushed home to try to salvage what she can when she’s taken. The boys save her but she finds out about the game they are playing. Kill or be killed. The boy’s escape but not for long when they go to a second safe house and are blocked in.
As Marcus and Ayla try to run he is shot and the book ends with him laying on top of her. Blood is everywhere and her vision is dark once again.

It’s a good book and I like the premise but I want more
So far I’m liking this series but I feel myself wanting more. I can’t exactly pinpoint it but this book just feels like it’s missing some heart. It’s a little meh when it comes to the plot and and a little meh when it comes to the spice. I’m hoping that as the series continues we get more of each. Right now this book feels like it has a lot of potential but it’s just not there yet.

eh. idk how to describe the book but it was eh i just wasn’t feeling the characters or the plot especially w how short the book was it was just super boring to me like barely anything happened. i do enjoy the chemistry and tension between marcus and ayla (i forgot the main girl’s name and was searching for it for a minute and i feel like it’s barely said like no wonder i forgot her name). i also liked theo and hers relationship too but he barely gets screen time like it’s focused on marcus and her which i get kinda he’s the leader of their trio but why have these three men when you don’t give them equal development and growth w the main girl. but also the way the book was set up i’m confused how all four of them are gonna end up together bc it just feels a little awkward in my opinion like i can see the relationship w ayla and all the guys individually but all together im curious to see how the author ties them together but not curious enough to read the next book. this book was so boring the main things that happened were ayla finding out the three guys she saved are stalking her and she fucks the leader of the group and now they’re just stalking her more visibly now that she knows but there’s evil guys after the trio so they go after her. i just needed more to this book i think i found it boring bc there was no sense of humor or anything to give me a little keek to continue reading it was very somber which is the book’s thing w the traumatic things the main girl went through and the fucked up situation she’s in now but a little joke every now and then would’ve been nice. also ayla is so dumb to me for the ending conflict how tf she gonna go to her burning apartment that is shown to her by a girl who literally harassed her and also hurts her physically all the time that has clearly been out to get you. like girl you cant trust fake bitches fr and also why would you go to your burning apartment you can’t save anything it’s burnt and how would you be able to help the fire you’re not a mf firefighter also your stalkers are out so no one can protect you like i know it’s a high intensity situation but whatever happened to critical thinking. and the cliffhanger ending i genuinely couldn’t give less of a fuck of what happens to marcus like y’all are boring and he’s gonna survive like we all know that why end it on a cliffhanger like that. i’m being a super hater rn but i speak my truth this gets like a 5/10 like it’s less than ok but not the worst.
“With our faces so close together, I’m inhaling his exhales, and it feels like our fucking souls are merging like we’re stealing little pieces of each other with each breath.”
Honestly, TikTok made me do it. I am glad it did because this was so good. I finished it in a day. It's everything I ever wanted in a reverse harem, obsession, stalking romance.
The plotline was straightforward, but the characters' chemistry made me fall in love.
It was an instant romance, but not really.
Although they were at the stage of being bonded through their blond, however, they are still getting to know each other and took their time in professing their feelings.
Physically wise, they get straight into it.
I want to know Ayla's history and hope he finds solace in a home.
The three men are mysterious. Can we have their POVs, please?
We have met them, but we don't know their story.
Their focus in this book was really on their chemistry and relationship with Ayla.
READY FOR THE NEXT ONE.
“You saved my life,” he repeats more emphatically. “Every day since then, every fucking heartbeat, I owe to you.” The vibration of his low voice begins in his chest and travels up my arm through the place where our skin touches, making my pulse skyrocket. The intensity of his tone sparks my fight-or-flight instinct, and I tug hard on my hand. But he doesn’t let go. Doesn’t let it budge.”
