First of all I'd like to say how gorgeous Jim Lee's cover is. But covers can be deceiving, as unfortunately, the book isn't as beautiful.

The issue is a compilation of new short stories (and by short, I mean some are really short), an interview, and some art showcase.

We get 2 historical stories, which I think are a highlight of the book. One of which is a nice story of Diana being a catalyst of the French revolution, and another—a Legend of Wonder Woman bit set on World War II. I particularly liked the Legend of Wonder Woman bit, for they included real-life Wonder Woman Irena Sendler, a hero responsible for saving 2,500 Jewish children. Diana shines as we see her as a hero of humanity.

There’s a lengthy interview with Lois Lane. 6 pages of text. It ties in with the “The Lies” Rebirth storyline, so you've got to be updated on those first. The conversation is all over the place, disjointed from deceit to solitude.

We also get an excerpt from Wonder Woman: The True Amazon, which didn’t really add much. It’s just a cussing Diana fighting a tentacle monster. It’s basically a promo for the book.

Other short (emphasis on the short) stories include Diana as an animal protector, Diana vs Giganta, a monologue on Themyscira, children looking up to her, and an IKEA trip gone wrong.

But Gail Simone saves the book with a sweet ending story, a panel in particular stood the most throughout the book:

Overall still a nice read, but didn’t feel like a celebration of 75 years. I just expected something major for a feminist icon’s 75th anniversary. I expected more of a tribute to her evolution, her impact, and maybe a solid story on what she stands for, rather than a mashup of random shorts.
