I thought I loved Les’ crew but The Saviors are officially my favorite characters to ever exist. Nolan, sweet baby, I didn’t think he would sneak his way into my heart like that! I wanted to savor this book but I couldn’t put it down. Hopefully this isn’t the end of the Forest Grove crews

Another masterpiece by Ames Mills!! Sean will be my forever favorite!! I almost went crazy with the end of the last book and I was so glad that cliffhanger resolved quickly!

This is the first time I've DNF'd an Ames Mills books bc I usually really enjoy them. But the fucking betrayel of Axel towards Ari and his team was un-fucking-forgivable. Ari and his team should have fucking walked. Axel wanted to find out if he could really trust Ari and his team and found out that he could. But Ari and his team found out that they couldn't fucking trust Axel.
And all of them going on and on about how they were willing to betray literally every single person they know just in case all for the protection of Chelsea ACTUALLY tells me that they are willing to betray absolutely anyone INCLUDING fucking Chelsea if it comes down to it.
If you're willing to betray someone who you consider a brother, who has never once given you any reason at all to suspect that they could be untrustworthy, then you are not a trustworthy person. I cannot trust that you, in some far off hypothetical future, will not randomly decide that I am untrustworthy despite giving you absolutely no reason to think this.
All that aside, I just really didn't connect with the FMC here. A main part of that is that this duet focuses a lot on Chelsea and her body insecurities, with her thinking she's fat and therefore undesirable. But it is never even once mentioned what actual size Chelsea is, and that is unusual for Ames Mills bc in a prior duet, the FMC (Evie) was expicitely mentioned as being a size 16, which - while a small fat - is still plus sized. I am convinced that Chelsea is actually a fucking size 10 and I am not here for books where the main insecurity of the FMC - who is (presumably) a size fucking 10 - is that she is fat and undesirable.
