A brilliant novella from Martin, I’m excited to get back into Westeros soon! Definitely give this a read!

A sweet novella set in the world of Martin's Fire and Ice series. Reminiscent of Anderson's "The Snow Queen" but with a dragon in control. Give this to 5th and up readers who love fantasy. Lovely illustrations in an icy blue palette accompany the story.

Estupendo relato de un excelente autor! George escribe impecablemente. ;)

So, this is listed as "for Teens" and I guess that's true if we mean 13 to 15. I can't imagine the average 16-19 year old would find it as enchanting as either the younger or older audiences.

It reads much like a fairy tale and not much like anything else by Mr. Martin that I've read to date. But, it was entertaining enough for an evening's read.

Just finished reading this for the second time. ✌️

With Cape Town winter rolling in, I was chasing the icy high I got from GRRM's writing back when I tackled ASOIAF. 🥶

As a children's story this is a super quick read, easily managed in one go.

Definitely tagging it as a cure for reader's block for my future self.

Overall the story is what you expect but the world and characters are so enduring I almost wish it was a fully fleashed out adult novel.

Knowing the book is not set in Westeros didn't stop the distraction of hoping to recognise pieces of history from ASOIAF or HOF when dragons/house colours are mentioned.

I enjoyed the premise, but was expecting something a little more fleshed out from Martin.
