A quick read. It was cute but I didn’t really like the art style and it was slightly repetitive at times.

Box Inspector and other Important Jobs for Cats
by Lisa Swerling, Ralph Lazar
I wonder how anyone who meets me knows that I love cats. It's such a mystery to me. Is it all the cat hair on my clothes or all the cat pictures? Is it because you can't walk through our house without at least one toy under each step you take? Or is it all the empty cardboard boxes? This little book speaks to me in every way.
Thanks to my friend, Susan, for bringing it to my attention. At this very moment, our house has five cardboard boxes that may hang around for eternity since our cats love boxes. And we have a big cat condo with doors that shut so that we can put our cats in it and eat our meals in peace while they nap. They come running any time they hear us open the microwave oven. We avoid using our stove top because we don't want to chance our cats burning their feet. This place is ruled by cats.
I took the test and I'm definitely a crazy cat parent (although there was never any doubt about that fact). The pictures in this book are so cute and not so fancy that I can pretend I might be able to draw pictures like them (I can't though). This is my kind of coffee table book, nothing pretentious and very much making a statement about my life with cats.

A very cute, very short read, with some humorous and relatable observations about the cats in our lives, and fun illustrations. It would make a great gift for cat lovers.

Sooooo cute! There are many details in this book that make me marvel at the author’s powers of observation and imagination. Will read other books by the author.

What did you learn after reading this book?
I understand that humans can’t live without cats. At least I can’t.
What’s your favorite quote from this book?
Do you love me as much as I love you?
(From chapter three: the questions cats ask)
After reading this book, what actions will you take?
Add this book to my shopping list and give it to other cat lovers someday.
