Although this is the 4th book, It's the first I've read since I got it in the giveaway. needless to say, reading the book was like being thrown into the middle of a battle...And I guess that's what it actually was.

I don't tend to enjoy stories about the 'end of the world' and 'chosen ones' especially in the form of tweens/teens, but Horowitz is a skilled writer and actually pleased me despite my initial concerns. There was a lot of violence, blood, guns; enough to make even me happy. I would have liked the kids to have kicked a little ass though, in the next book each one should get a machine gun.

All the other books in the series were amazing, and so was this one, but I personally found this installment a *bit* of a drag. Still, it was great to finally meet a female protagonist.

Teenage Katie, you lament that you will never see how these series you started at the end of high school will end?

I got you, girl.

Only one book to go until I see how these turn out and I can't WAIT to get my hands on a copy of Oblivion!

Honestly was lowkey disappointed, it was long and kinda boring. I originally wanted to give it 1 star but the last chapter was pretty good and now i can't wait to read the last volume.
