Probably only interesting to people who grew up with The View....entertaining look at the behind the scenes of the iconic show.

Nonfiction for January. Workplace drama at a place you don’t work at is the best drama!
I am a fan of The View and I enjoy behind the scenes stories so this was an easy choice for me. I learned how much network executives can mess up a show. I agree with other reviewers that there is so much emphasis on Rosie and Elisabeth when they were not on that long. There were only single lines about Joy and she has been there the entire time! So I wished it were a bit more balanced, but I did enjoy the book.
I'm planning on suing the writer for scalding me with all this hot tea. Could not read it fast enough.
Fun, fast read. A good mix of gossip and journalism.
Look. Is this hard-hitting journalism? Does this book offer an unbiased and unflinching look at a difficult subject? Is everything in it 100% true? No. But it's a wild ride, and there's more depth to it than I expected. Seeing how The View shaped the daytime television industry (and reflecting on a world in which opinion and fact were not so intertwined) was fascinating. I'd give this five stars if I had a smidge less dignity.

Lots of great information especially those who have stuck with The View and can remember all the iconic moments/ fights that you here the back story too.
Only thing was it dragged a bit, and it felt repetitive but that could also be because there was so many co hosts. I wish he would have added a bit more of the last few years but I know it was loaded already. Overall informative and fun, juicy gossip too!

This book was so fun. I loved the view since I was in high school and hearing all the behind the scenes drama was just a great time. I listened to the book and it felt like a podcast. Very conversational and entertaining. I was less interested in the end of the book because I didn't know a lot of the co-hosts and there was just less stuff going on in the end. Really well done and enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of The View.
3.5 stars...light read, entertaining without requiring too much brain power. I didn't know a lot of the celebrities he talked about, but it was still fun. It actually made me look up some of the on air spats that happened!
