the ending was very dear reader by taylor swift. it was kinda cute but WAY longer than it should be. also the main character is her own worst enemy the amount of times she sabotages herself

This book wasn't for me. I think I lost interest after the eBay scene. Mainly because it started so strong with the MC burning all her cheating husband's things, then the guilt (unjustified guilt) settled in and I didn't want to read about her feeling bad about her feeling angry. I hated to see her back pedal every time her anger got the best of her. 
It wasn't a bad story. I think I just wanted more angst and revenge.

I think the only reason I listened as much as I did to this is that I’m on vacation and sometimes just needed a few minutes to listen to something quietly. It’s not good and I won’t be returning. Good riddance.

to be honest, this book was hard for me to read at first—the situation violet finds herself in hit a little too close to home (ow) & her new love interest dez was a bit too one dimensional for my liking. but the book really grew on me in the second half! So much food for thought regarding grief, forgiveness, imposter syndrome, & social media—I liked this book even better than meet me in paradise!

i’m my heart of hearts this should be a 5 but i think there’s just a lil something, not missing but just not there to make it a 5 for moi personally.
violets arc was god tier and i actually genuinely was rooting for her and oddly enough understood the decision to temporarily break up - like it makes sense character wise and with my current streak i’m not getting many of these which is making the third act break up get old
but i am now on a firefighter binge cause holy poop i NEED a dez
