 First, I started with the audiobook, and I almost quit reading it because the narrators did not feel well matched to the characters. I’m glad I switched to the digital edition because this was a great read! Continuing through Kristina’s story through the perspective of her three oldest children was a powerful way to show the ripple effects of addiction from one generation to the next. Again, I love the author’s poetic writing style. Reading about the similarities and differences between the three siblings and their mother is fascinating. I especially loved the excerpt from the real Kristina at the end of the book.

Very interesting companion novel to Crank and Glass. It haunts me to try and guess which parts of the story are fictional and which are not! Looking fwd to watching some book reviews on this one!
