i forced myself to finish it and honestly the ending was the only part i liked. i just didn’t care for this book that much. i was hoping to read more of kristina’s perspective but i mean i get why they chose to do the children’s perspective. i am a child of an alcoholic and it is important for the children to be heard. i just didnt find myself wanting to pick it back up to read, which is why this one took so long. the 3 different POVs were getting confusing and it just felt kind of repetitive.

This one took me a minute to figure out the flow compared to the first two books in this series. Still pretty good and brings everything together in the end.

This is the third book from the Crank series and my least favorite of the three. I felt like I was lost because she threw in so many new characters and about 400-500 pages into it (almost the whole book) I started to understand who was who and how they were related to Kristina. As I say in most reviews for Ellen Hopkins about it being difficult to follow (the way the book is set up-word wise) I was able to follow this more. The words were not scattered around the pages as much.

“Anger is a valid emotion. It's only bad when it takes control and makes you do things you don't want to do.”

This was the third in a series. I really enjoyed the series and had some insight to what happened in the lives of a drug addict and the family. You really felt for the family and the drug addict.

4.5 Stars. Just like the first 2 books in this series I love this book. I love Hopkins writing style and how she just draws you in and makes you connect with the characters (even if you've never experienced any of things they go through) and makes you want to cheer them on. My only frustration with this book is the transitions. There are times when I was reading about one character and then something major happens and then it suddenly switches to another character but all I want to do is read more about the first character and see what's going to happen with them next. Other than moments with the transitioning being frustrating, I love this book and will read anything Ellen Hopkins writes.
