informative fast-paced

This was so fascinating. The whole book is answering questions about death from kids, and while the subject itself is morbid, this book was not. The information is presented in a fun and interesting way, while also keeping things factual. I learned a lot that I didn't know before and I'll definitely be looking into Caitlin Doughty's other books!

Funny, straightforward, interesting ,useful, cute. What other adjectives do you need when talking about a book on death and handling corpses?

This is a book about questions asked by kids, and I think as an adult I possibly was NOT the intended audience. Very big font, cartoony illustrations, simple sentences and lots of jokes. Despite it being a book for kids, I REALLY enjoyed it. History facts, science facts, aeroplane facts, decomposition facts, all in a fast-paced quick-read volume (finished in 3 sittings, and I am a slow reader).

I found the author via social media; mostly her long video essays on grim historical deaths. She delivers these essays with lighthearted humour, so a book entitled "will my cat eat my eyeballs?" seemed like it would be similar to her videos, but as it happens it is a LOT more kid-friendly. If you are looking for more mature reads I would say look to her other books (Smoke gets In Your Eyes and From Here to Eternity) but I think if you have a death-curious or morbid child in need of a fun book to read, this is the book for them!
