Interesting, but I felt like this book was intended for kids or teens since she is addressing their questions. It was just in the nonfiction section, and now I'm wondering if it should've been shelved in juvenile or YA.

I love all of Doughty's work, but this book format was less intriguing to me. Her other two works are engulfing, drawing the reader in and getting into the dark and more emotional aspects of death, which I much prefer. However, WMCEME? is a nicely paced, digestible book for all ages about death.
Moderate: Animal death, Chronic illness, Death, Terminal illness, Blood, Excrement, Medical content, Grief, Cannibalism, Pregnancy, Injury/Injury detail

Good book, very interesting. Caitlin is always a good resource for deathy things, and she answers questions and provides facts that are honest without being too heavy or hard to process.

this is a really interesting little book full of fun facts. i am someone who has always had a lot of ‘morbid’ curiosity so i really enjoyed it. it gave well-founded information in an easily accessible format.
i would’ve preferred for the references to be footnoted or cross-referenced throughout, so it was easy to do further reading on topics, though i note this book is aimed at all ages so maybe that’s why this wasn’t used.
caitlin does use the term ‘developed world’ rather than a term such as ‘global north’, etc.
