I fell in love with Merrick. He's an absolute dork and that's 100% my type. I liked Grace well enough as well and felt like she had depth. I was a little bit annoyed that the source of her angst was a problem of her own making and could have been cleared up had she just been communicating but the angst wasn't too bad and didn't last that long. I felt more anxious daydreaming about meeting Merrick and him not liking me as a person.
The plot was okay - it was sweet, cute, and I enjoyed it overall but the jumping around in timeline could have had some better transitions to cue the reader into the shift between past and present. It wasn't always clear and I found myself having to stop and re-scan the page multiple times to make sure I was clear on when something was happening. I don't mind the jumping around, just make it clearer when it's happening.
