Contrary to the author, I think there’s a bit too much plot in this? Like all the political stuff was weird especially because the MC doesn’t seem to have any interest in politics shes just doing stuff to gain favour for her job which is such a weird message, especially in the current political climate? Idk maybe Im reading too much into it but anytime it was brought up I was like what’s going on??? Especially since the new mayor guy wasn’t particularly presented in a positive light (I guess not really a negative one either but if he was a really nice guy i’d have gotten it more) & actually the 1 policy that’s really mentioned (the must wear pants policy - catchy name I know) goes against the love interest AND THEN AT THE END SHES TRYNNA CHANGE HIM & MAKE HIM WEAR PANTS.
Now I know as it currently stands this is a ridiculous argument but if that was anything else then bros basically getting politically repressed which his girlfriend not only publicly supports but brainwashes him into supporting too 💀

It's ok, FMC is sweet & MMC is intriguing. I feel like it's more of a filler book, for us to get to know more about the world the author has built, dor the next book almost? It's enjoyable just not riveting.

Whilst Nascosta states in the author's note “This one is pure cotton candy, folks. No plot—just horny, slice-of-life vibes”, she's selling herself short. 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘉𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 is a lighthearted and relaxing romance, but it’s got more than enough depth that I felt a genuine connection with the characters. The story is as adorable and fluffy as the MMC himself, the smut is ultra hot, and the writing is solid—just be prepared for a non-linear narrative per the author’s note. I blushed, I cringed, I giggled, and I fell in love with FMC Grace and MMC Merrick just as steadily as they fell in love with each other. Nascosta is quickly becoming a favoured author, and I’m looking forward to devouring further works in the Cambric Creek universe and beyond.

Merrick is such a sweetie, I love him. I imagine he is a lot hotter than the boring barely-a-monster man on the cover. The romance was a little boring to me, though, maybe I should have made more of an effort to read it in one sitting. I think it was written a little better than Morning Glory Milking Farm, but it got really repetitive with some of the narration.
