I couldn’t possibly give this book a 1 star review, obv.
It was…okay? With thrillers, I expect to suspend disbelief but pretty much every last word (pun intended) of this story was implausible. IMO it really tipped over to horror and gore. Overall, I just felt like it was too much of a try hard.

DID NOT FINISH: 30%

I saw a review that said the dog lives, but
Slaughterhouse 5 scarred me for life with the whole clock parts in meat thing so I think I’ll just pass right now (seriously threw that book across the room for that).

I also just didn’t really care for Part 1. The synopsis is so strong and I was really hoping the actual book would keep me just as hooked, but it didn’t unfortunately.
