the misogyny and sexism experienced by the characters are really bad. i feel so bad and disgusted even if it's fictional. the love story of the main characters are cute tho but also like it's very fast. i also feel like the ending didn't answer the questions that i have throughout the story. but if you want a happy ending 🤷‍♀️ then here you go.

This is by far the saddest rom com I have ever read. Major major trigger warning for homophobia and misogyny.

Football players and cheerleader staying closeted because their teammates are Aholes or complicit.  They exclude new female QB out of spite, misogyny, homophobia while claiming they are honouring the previous QB who died while driving drunk.  It was a bit depressing, but more in the way that their actions were so unreasonable they didn't seem like actual people, so how can you progress in a world with no reason.

This book was so cute I honestly loved it! Loved the chemistry and the banter in the beginning and the hopefulness and resolution and all the cliché American high school tropes made queer. The sexism and misogyny really boiled my piss but it was supposed to.
Yeah that’s it it was a fun read and quite easy to read too <33

I loved this book! Amber and Jack have a nice dynamic, their relationship is not toxic - mainly they fight out of fear coming out, which, you know, it happens - as it may be in other YA lesbian romances so that’s a yay! I have read it in literally 6 hours, could not put it down! Would definitely recommend it as something lighthearted, inclusive and cute.
