Absolutely wonderful. Lovable, swoon-worthy, queer characters that keep you reading. I could hardly put it down. This is book will definitely become one of my favorites to re-read.

This is by far the saddest rom com I have ever read. Major major trigger warning for homophobia and misogyny.

The beginning of this was kind of slow but if you can get past that it's so so good. It discusses misogyny, homophobia, glorification after death, and polysexuality. It also has a teen girl masturbating (non-explicitly bc YA)  which is the 1st time I've ever found a YA that discusses this and I was so thrilled.  Both narrators are fantastic but especially the one that does Jack is just next level. The only thing that bothers me is that some of these characters did not get what they were due and I was not given the emotional catharsis that I really needed.

Overall it was a fantastic YA that touched on so many things that YA's don't usually do this well and on top of that I just really enjoyed the characters and the relationship dynamics were so cute.

Football players and cheerleader staying closeted because their teammates are Aholes or complicit.  They exclude new female QB out of spite, misogyny, homophobia while claiming they are honouring the previous QB who died while driving drunk.  It was a bit depressing, but more in the way that their actions were so unreasonable they didn't seem like actual people, so how can you progress in a world with no reason.
