second time reading this book, i’ve started to understood their relationship and dynamics better. they have me wrapped around their fingers. now i clearly see how differently axel loves. and i fell for him too.

This was very close to a 4 star read for me. Once I got used to the first person (not my favorite) I really liked the characters and was rooting for them! Some of the secondary characters faded out and I missed them! That’s probably why I didn’t give it 4 stars. I also found it strange that none of the Bergman family found out about the marriage or the full house renovations and thought that was a thread that should have been pulled.

trigger warnings: chronic illness, sexual content, autism related triggers, abandoned animals, artist's block,

I have been waiting on a romance series that will put me in a chokehold a la Bridgertons but like /better/ and here we have it. Something about sibling dynamics throughout romance series where you get to anticipate future siblings finding their HEA and also seeing snippets of elder siblings living their loving HEA lives just UGHHHHH hits the spot.

Axel and Rooney were just chefs kiss. The marriage of convenience, there's only one bet, grumpy and sunshine, pet loving, smushy gushy idiots in love shit is jist SEfkjdhrgkjshelrgehrlg. It's really not something I can put into articulate words so y'all just gotta read it and join me in my cry fest of these soft baby Bergmans.

Sigh. The Bergman’s. Just like the previous three books, I loved this!

Cabins. And hikes. And art. And animals. Chronic illness, neurodivergence, and therapy. Grumpy & sunshine. Friendship and love. This book is like a warm hug on an autumn day. So cozy, and heartfelt, and real. And also steamy.
