A very interesting look into Hannah Gatsbys life. Overall insightful but a bit preachy at times. Her life has not been easy at all. I think the book was even more imactful as an audiobook because she read it herself and you could hear all the hurt and anger.

Love her so much; highly recommend! It explores so much more than how a comedian writes their material. Hannah Gadsby is the best!

Ugh, so good. Be ready to sob uncontrollably with the last line. I was lucky enough to see Hannah Gadsby live at her "Douglas" show in SF. If you haven't seen her perform, I recommend watching "Nanette" on Netflix, THEN reading the book. It will be that much richer. Brilliant, Brilliant. Love her.

Ebook from library so wasn’t able to extend my check out. Will get it again sometime

Deeply sad and yet deeply funny. Wonderful storytelling with colorful characters and very raw and vulnerable insights into an atypical life.

A bit too long for me. By the end I was really ready to be done with it. I'm glad I read it, but I didn't love it. I did enjoy the parts about the history of gay rights in Tasmania, as I didn't know any of that. And some of the parts about writing comedy shows were interesting, though they weren't always easy to follow.
