I came across the audiobook on Audible, and the description piqued my curiosity. I had no prior knowledge of Hannah Gadsby, but after listening to her narrate her sometimes hilarious, often heart-rending, always powerful memoir, I’m so glad she— and her mom— have a place in my world now. I appreciate the snippets of Nanette that were included in the audiobook, and will be watching the full Netflix special this weekend.

Touching, raw and insightful. Hannah Gadsby tells her (at times) harrowing story in a no-holes-barred fashion. She is so honest about her struggled with depression and trauma, it was hard to read but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the audiobook (even just to hear her imitate her mum). I've yet to go back and watch Nanette again, because it was such an emotional experience, it boggles the mind that she was able to perform it so many times.
