This book is undeniably long. Edward is very verbose. However, I feel like it’s the most well-written of all the Twilights. Considering Edward’s time origin, he seems very fitted to his home timeline. There are metaphors, and references to myths and poetry and so much beautiful culture we don’t normally get to experience in young adult books, I can’t help but appreciate it! I found myself really enjoying learning Edward’s perspective and to learn what was happening during any of his time away from Bella. He explains his thought processes which makes the whole story seem more cohesive and coherent. It wasn’t my favorite book. It was long. And felt in a lot of instances, redundant. But it was also refreshing to hear things from the immortal perspective.
