this would have made much more sense if I actually read it in order.

It's been a long time since i finished a book in one setting. I moght be a sucker for sherlock like stories that have an emotional core. Both long chau and the shadows child have traumas to deal with drom there pasts as they try to solve a murder. Both get on each others nerves and that some how helps them form a friendship. Throw in a mystery and a daring rescue along side struggling to pay rent. This was a noce palette cleanser.

I blasted through this book, it was such a pleasure to read. Sci-fi, Viet, and Holmesian; it's like this book was written to hit all my favorite genres.

It's very short, it only takes an hour or two to read, and as I was getting closer to the end, I was lamenting at the fact that the book was almost finished.
