Loxley Savage has written a very dark and gritty mafia romance.

The only daughter of the Cosa Nostra has to marry into the Outfit as part of an agreement with all the mafia mobs to stop war ensuing between their families. This deal occurred ten years ago and without Valentina's knowing.

Valentina has her whole life planned, she's going to move away, attend her own college of choice and have some freedom from under her families strict rules. Except what Valentina assumed would be a normal day at school ended in her being kidnapped and meeting her new family.

Three brothers who hate her guts and would rather have nothing to do with her at all.

Salvatore, Armani and Fausto.

The Irish triplets and probably her doom.

Wilted Orchid is book 4 in the Mafia Wars series but can be read as a standalone.

This book lowkey is ruining the series for me. I read Ivy’s story and thought “oh let me see how this one goes I wonder if we will ever get to the secret of their parent’s murder”. No instead we got a whiny brat and a loser main dude doing everything to piss me off. Yawn.

Oh my gosh this RH series is SO good. First off, this was my first Loxley book (again I LOVE this series bc I haven’t read her or Rebecca Royce so finding great new authors!) but definitely not my last.

So to recap, each book is a different story but centered around the same plot. These different mafia families want to establish peace and the only way is to have their daughters randomly marry whomever was chosen out of a bag for them. The sons are the right hand men to take over the ‘family business.’ This story was about Valentina Rossi, the youngest of the daughters in these stories. They had to wait for her to turn 18. This book, holy wow, get me tissues. I was blown away by the twists and turns this plot took. I couldn’t put it down. You can’t help but feel for Val. She gets put through the wringer and boy does it do nothing but make her tougher. I can’t say enough good about this book, let alone the series. This series is a must if you like RH, mafia, and some hot men.

Book 4 in the Mafia Wars series.

I enjoyed this book. I don’t know what it is about a RH with three brothers but it’s one of my favourite tropes and this series is *chefs kiss* - this one even more so because, well, twins!!! (Call me weird, I don’t care - I know what I like!)

The character of Valentina and the way she’s written felt very real. She’s an 18 year old virgin and when it comes to sex and things like that, she doesn’t automatically know what to do or how things should be.

There isn’t much spice until about 70% in but then it’s

Most of the beginning is spent on Valentina before she meets them to help with showing who she is and setting up some other things that are important to the story. Age gap (she literally just turned 18 and the guys are around 33). Multi POV. Valentina is definitely very young, in both age, and maturity but she grew on me. She isn’t your typical strong, B.A. mafia princess either. I did like the guys though it starts out rough. I do feel like I could’ve used more time to really like Sal than I got but I was still in a decent place with all of them at the end.
CW: Within these pages are scenes of graphic violence, SA, explicit sex, group scenes, kidnapping, kink exploration, discipline, foul language, and more which may be difficult to read. If such material triggers or offends you, please do not read this book.

Wilted Orchid

The Dark Mafia series has been really good so far. We finally get to meet and know the youngest of all the girls promised in the treaty... Valentina. She was 8 at the time the treaty was set into place. Here we have another daughter who knew nothing of what her future held for her when she turned 18. I know these are all written to be standalones but I really feel like you need to start with book 1 to really enjoy this one, and have an understanding of what and why things happen the way they do.
