Beautiful Enemy is Harrison and Rea's story and my first book by Piper Lawson.

First, I really enjoyed the author's writing. It had all the right ingredients to make a story shine.

Second, I loved the book and the whole Ibiza/DJ/wealthy set-up which is different from most stories out there. The setting, characterization, it was all a win.

Harrison and Rea's love story takes time to develop which I'm always thankful for since these kinds of stories are the most realistic and creates a bound between the characters that's deeper and harder to break once everything goes sideways.

I can't wait to read Beautiful Sins, since Beautiful Enemy is just the beginning of the MCs' story and I really wanna know how it will end.

I was bored and there was no relationship development in this book.

Harrison and Rae were enemies and sometimes they would act like they were attracted to each other. Also, at random point in the book, they would just blurt out personal things to the other person. Just because they knew some personal facts about each other didn’t mean that they knew each other’s personalities.

I kept waiting for Harrison and Rae to get to know each other and by the end of the book they still hadn’t really spent time getting to know each other so I was bored.

There were some obvious conflicts (jealousy, some ex drama, pretending to hate the other). Harrison was trying to buy a club but Christian (the owner of the club) was being an idiot and mixing things that had nothing to do with business.

I liked that Rae was a DJ as that’s not a common job in books but there wasn’t really much about her making the music so sometimes you forget that she even has a job.

I’m definitely not going to continue with this series and I don’t think that this author is for me.

I've read everything that Piper Lawson has written. I've loved many of them- the characters, world building, relationships are all engaging and effective. This one. This one is next level. It feels more mature than some of her previous work and it's not just the angst and the age gap. Its that the stakes feel higher. The setting, the banter, the plot... it all coalesces into a really compelling read. Neither Harrison nor Rae was my favorite at the start but by the end I felt like the characters were so well developed and so believable. The story feels so real. And hot. Off the charts hot. I cannot wait to see where she takes them in the next two books. (Also, I love seeing a small glimpse of Annie, Tyler and Beck!)

I'm a fan of Piper Lawson's work! I absolutely loved reading The Rivals series! I've been  meaning to read the last book A Love Song For Always, but I'm just not ready to say goodbye to this amazing series. The heroine, Rae was featured in The Rivals series. I didn't realize it was her until I was a couple of chapters in!  Beautiful Enemy is an age gap, enemies to lovers and billionaire romance, and book #1 in Piper Lawson's latest work, The Enemies trilogy. The setting is amazing! Rae is definitely a sassy and strong willed character! And is not afraid of speaking her mind to Harrison (hero). There's an undeniable attraction and tension between Rae and Harrison. Harrison is surprised at Rae's behavior towards him, he is not used to someone telling him off or putting him in his place. But, Harrison secretly loves it. Harrison may come across as arrogant, however there is more to it than meets the eye. He is ambitious and he likes to get things done his way. But he also cares about the people who are closest to him. Rae doesn't easily trust people or let anyone in. She also deals with anxiety. Oh boy! The heat and s*xual tension between these two...it's indescribable! And I loved their friendly batter! Oh my the ending!! Can't wait for book #2!! Overall, if you love contemporary romances please check out Piper Lawson's work!

Rae is an American DJ, she loves creating electronic music and Harrison (hero) is a British billionaire. Rae and Harrison's first encounter with each other wasn't a pleasant one to say the least. Their paths crossed again at a holiday destination, Ibiza, Spain. It was supposed to be an easy job for Rae, DJing at one of clubs at a dream holiday destination. Rae wasn't aware that the club she was supposed to be DJing at, was actually owned by Harrison. Rae doesn't have a choice; she is stuck, locked in a contract for a month.

Definitely not what I expected. I enjoyed Rae and Harrison's story and their chemistry. But I can't help but feel like there are some missing parts of the story. But I guess because it's only the first book so there will be more in the next books. I can't wait for the continuation to their story.

This is my first book that I have tried from Piper Lawson. It was a decent sized novel and I loved the chemistry between Rae and Harrison.I loved how the story started. The intensity between the two main characters is amazing. I loved their chemistry. Harrison is this billionaire with a lot of emotional baggage and Rae or Raegan is this DJ who knows every pennies worth and thinks of the betterment of other before her. Rae is a strong protagonist and I love the way she stood her grounds throughout the story.

However, there were certain elements of the story that didn’t really work for me. Firstly, the instant attraction between the two protagonist was something that lessened the intensity of a true enemies to lovers romance. Secondly, the relationship between the two didn’t really grow much throughout the story.

Apart from the above reasons I felt this book was a pleasant read. I would love to checkout the next book in this series.

Wow! This is a brilliant start to this set of books (can’t remember if it’s a trilogy or duet thinking more the first one) we first met Rae and Harrison in Tyler and Annie’s final book!
This love hate relationship is beautifully written and I cannot wait to delve deeper into these two!
