I liked that Vincent cared about her from the start even though they were both hiding something, he wanted the truth from her before wanting to take things further. It was a good book to read, I just felt like something was missing.

I’m weak for mafia so I decided to try a new-to-me- author(s). This is one that you say well, read one mafia book, read them all. It had zero originality with the plot and trope. It was entertaining enough that I finished it but the dialogue with quite cringy to say the least.
Not a series I’ll continue but I appreciated the light degradation kink throughout the book.

It was very confusing at first. I feel like not enough context or details were given. Because I had no idea who was from which crime family. Or if the heroine's family was like the higher up capo or Don family??
I was gonna roll with it then she started throwing tantrums like a little brat cause Vincent didn't wanna sleep with her on their *wedding night*. She was dreading it earlier, why the tantrum now? The writing is also super duper dramatic.
