This was so cute. Elle was adorable and Darcy was a precious scared little baby and I really enjoyed watching her journey of opening herself up to love and friendship and happiness after being hurt.
Both their moms suck
I do feel like it ended SO abruptly. Like it could’ve used an extra chapter or 2 to wrap everything up?
I’ll def read the next one! Brendon was a sweetie and I need him to be happy!!!!!

4 stars.
this was cute! i loved the take on pride and prejudice with elle being elizabeth and darcy being... darcy. i'm a sucker for fake dating, and this was *chef's kiss* in that regard. also, the whole "u-haul lesbian" trope aka, falling for someone super hard and super quick was used really well here, too.
the only reason this doesn't get a higher rating is that i felt like there were aspects where it could've gone further. for example, i wanted to get more into the nitty gritty of these characters pasts, and while there is a good amount of facing past trauma, i wish it would've gone a little bit further. but overall, super cute read, will def be picking up the sequel about brendon!

Elle Jones is a free-spirited astrologer with a huge social media following and who believes in the all the magic surrounding the soul-mate myths. She agrees to a blind date with Darcy Lowell, her business partner’s sister. Darcy has long ago given up any belief in love and soul mates and has turned into an uptight, controlling, ice queen who agreed to go out to please her brother. What could possibly go wrong with that? Only everything. After spilling wine on Darcy’s expensive vintage dress, Elle flees the bar. Both women are tired of being judged for being single, both women want their friends and family to stop trying to fix them up only to be ignored. When Darcy’s brother asks her how the date went, she intentionally lets him believe that it had been a success. She believes that will be the end of his meddling in her love life. Yeah, right. When Darcy’s brother tells Elle how happy he is that she and his sister hit it off, Elle is left wondering what Darcy’s up to. When confronted by Elle, Darcy admits to what she’s done and asks Elle to go along with until the end of the year. They work out the details. But then something miraculous occurs – both women begin to care for the other.
This is a well-written lesbian romance with two complex characters that the reader can love and root for. The storyline is plausible and well-executed.
If you love romance, soul mates, humor, and feel good writing. this is the book for you. You’ll find yourself reading into the wee hours of the morning unwilling to say goodnight to Darcy and Elle.
My thanks to Avon Books and Edelweiss for an eARC.

This book made me laugh and cry. Finding the one person you're meant to spend your life with is no easy task. I love that Elle never gave up looking and Darcy took a chance even after she had previously had her heart destroyed. Fun, fast, romantic read.
