This was freaking delightful! I've never really cared about holiday rom-coms but I loved the Charm Offensive so I wanted to give this a try and I wasn't disappointed

This was a cute queer romance however I wish that the flash backs were at least in order because jumping around so much made it hard to follow at the beginning.

I hated this book. I hated how it was written, I hated the song references, I hated the characters(That is a slight lie I did like the grandmas which most people did and I really did like Andrew), I hated how demisexuality was handled, I hated how anxiety was handled, parental neglect felt more like a thing to add to the characters suffering honestly, I absolutely LOATHED the ending with every fiber of my being. The representation felt so hollow and it just all felt so hollow.

There were some moments in there that I did somewhat enjoy, but just the constant suffering of the main character made a lot of it unbearable. Her webcomic asides just repeated the same things over and over again through out the book. I honestly wanted to finish this just to say I did really. I would put the book down and just lamented that I am going to eventually have to pick it up again.

I really really came into this with an earnest want to like it, but as soon as I got hit with the whole "You're like Zoey Deschinell(or however you spell her name) off her lexapro." I knew I was in for a very horrible time.

Maybe I am just not the right type of millennial to enjoy this, but I know that there is for sure better sapphic books out there that I would enjoy a lot more. Also better book out there that doesn’t read like they are trying to check off every box in the representation checklist.

The idea of this story was ok, but too much drama for me. I can’t take it. I have enough drama in my life.
