This was cute, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book. I felt like the writing was not as compelling and the plot felt disjointed at times. I had a hard time following conversations and many of the major plot elements felt extremely abrupt. I felt that there was little to no flow between chapters in this edition.
And god how I HATE a third act breakup!

This book is simply gorgeous. It made me cry and smile so much.

I love the emphasis on friendships and all the types of love someone can have. And Ari and Dante’s love is beautiful.

This was such a beautiful book 🥹 I will always be an Ari and Dante Stan. I loved to see how much Ari grew as a character, from being a loner to accepting love and friendship into his life. The writing was beautiful, each word carefully crafted to reflect deeper life meanings and holding strong sentiments. And above all, the theme of love, not just of the romantic type but loving your fellow humans, was strong and shown throughout in many different ways.

Another very cute story! This one got a little too heavy-handed with the messaging and the poetic language for my taste, it just got to an unrealistic point where people don’t actually talk like that in real life. But I appreciate tackling topics like racism and homophobia in fiction, particularly young adult fiction, and the characters are so sweet and so high school. I thought it was a good sequel, maybe just a bit too long.

I loved this book as much as I loved the first one. I loved the writing style. I cried, laughed and I felt every emotions.
I cried when Ari's father (Jaime) died. I didn't expect it. I didn't expect that he will die. I cried with his mother. I thought of the love they shared between Jaime and Liliana. And his last words were Ari and Liliana. I cried in that part.

I felt the anger when Ari met his elder brother. OMG! His brother is a homophobic and terrible person. He is so mean. My blood was boiling when I was reading that part. And Dante and his family including his little brother, how they stood beside Ari and his mother when his father died. And when Mr.Quintana was crying because he lost a great friend. OMG! I wept hard in that part

I loved the scenes between Ari and Dante. The love they shared is so beautiful. How they supported each other. And the character development of Ari was outstanding.
I overall enjoyed this book. This will be my favourite book of all time.
