I only recently discovered this indie fantasy magazine and very much enjoyed this issue. I was so impressed by how differently the authors showcased the theme. The mag also had an interesting interview with an indie author, and some thoughtful fantasy reviews.
My favourite stories were The Grove of Ex-Maidens by Adie Hart (poignant Greek mythology retelling with an ending that made me gasp) and Rules for Seafaring Souls by Rebecca Crunden (sweet & very clever romance between a human girl and a mermaid), but they were all very good in their own way.
As a huge shifter fan, I look forward to the next issue with interest :-)
