Well, I didn't see that coming! I was getting really sick of the boyfriends jealousy etc so I had been debating if I should read the next in the series since the story wasn't going any place. Well, it really went somewhere at the end so I will be reading the next one!

This book was definitely better than the last. While it's still not up to par with the first three books for me, the series seems to be improving. Kind of annoyed with the ending though-a cruel, cruel cliff-hanger. =\
The way this one ends is mean! I cannot she left me hanging like that. Luckily the next book, Burned come out in only a couple of weeks. I would recommend to wait to read this one until you have the next one available.

Honestly I've read this series as a teenie and liked it. For some reason I started to reread it rn and y'all... I'm fucking dying. It's obviously fucking problematic in so many ways, but that's not what I wanna talk about.
The only thing I like about this series is the plot. Literally every character makes my blood boil and guess what... they're always ALWAYS talking. So much fucking dialog of the author trying to desperately sound like a stupid teenager. I mean really.. fucking COME ON. NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT.
AND LITERALLY EVERY CHAPTER IS LIKE 80% STUPID ASS DIALOG AND FIGHTS HAPPENING BETWEEN CHARACTERS. ALL THE STUPID ASS INSULTS THEY THROW AROUND. Jesus...

Good but not as good as the previous volumes. A bit too drama, drama, drama not balanced by calmer interludes.
It was about as good as the others. Not great, but fun.
these books are poorly written. The attempt to have a teen voice reeks of desperation to be the "cool mom" The premise of the books are intriguing which is why I have read 6 of these and 4 novellas (The novellas are MUCH better written). I love the idea of the melding of different spiritualities/religions. I am Wiccan and enjoy reading about casting a circle. I just wish the author had a more adept voice.
