I continue to find these books somewhat bewildering. A large amount of that is the author's decision to not divide these books into proper chapters. As a reader, I tend to find them somewhat aimless and it is difficult for me to figure out convenient places to stop when I must set the book down for a while (and trade it for that sometimes-overrated experience: real life). They're like a sweet that tastes wonderful while you're eating it, but when you finish it, you've already forgotten what it was like.

I struggled to finish this one. I think the wizard books are the least enjoyable.

Fun romp. Rincewind is a hoot, and anytime Death is mentioned I'm like YOOOOO ITS MY MAN. What did almost ruin it was the love triangle... I was rooting for Rincewind ....how the fuck did he loose to a Nigel

I enjoy Pratchett's wit, but Rincewind is not much of a character and his adventures have not much of a plot.

A really marvelous romp. Terry Pratchett shells these books out with abandon, but this one had a lot of things in it that touched me deeply, when I was a fifteen-year-old.
