I really enjoyed this well-written overview of the history of beer, and how its story paralleled and even caused major world events. Craft beer as we know it now was the norm for beer, basically for millenia, and the U.S. has been credited with bringing it back over the past few decades - just one of my many takeaways. And the illustrations that accompany it are brilliant. If you think you can't or don't want to read an illustrated history book (aka graphic novel), try this one out!

A fantastically interesting chronology of beer, from its ancient roots to the modern craft beer revolution. This comic tells the story of how beer has changed the course of history, and how history has changed the course of beer. Great illustrations as well, with a handful of really fun full-page case studies of different types of beer. Perfect for fans of beer, history, or both.

the illustrations were great, and there was much more history in the book than I imagined there would be. Very factual without being dense or boring.
