I contemplated giving up on this book about halfway through, but decided I would just finish it and then give up on John Green, instead. The characters were shallow and unlikable, and the story was dull. It was definitely more realistic than The Fault in Our Stars, but that's not saying much.

This book was amazing. The characters evolved throughout the book, taking on new outlooks about life and they seemed human in their actions and words and thoughts. The plot twists were interesting, and the whole book was a joy to read.

If you have any modicum of training or knowledge about mental health this book might give you an aneurysm. But it's not too bad outside of that

I was just going to read this straight without support of audio book but Wil Wheaton is the Narrator and I like how he narrates books a lot and he does a superb job here too.
John Green wrote a good book here with believable characters. In a well written setting. It’s so believable how these kids have formed their relationships and opinions and habits. It’s so clear how easily Miles/Pudge can be drawn into this perfect for him group of friends after not having had any prior. Because of the Great Perhaps i love the idea of “The Great Perhaps” and the “Labyrinth” and all of the philosophical ideas that Miles and his friends explore.

I definitely get why people really like John Green. I’m curious how this book would’ve hit me if I’d read it when it was first published.

Started this years ago and had some Alabama) Coloneal bias thinking it was a Separate Peace in the south? Anyway, 15 years later I picked it up for a quarter and in a heatwave ripped thru it. Strong character building, great philosophy. Def first book vibes from a great mind but I lived the structure and coming of age story

Me gustaría que me gustara porque ahora con la nueva serie (¿o película?) se ha vuelto a poner de moda. Pero es que nunca me gustó Alaska.
