I loved this book, although
it does have a sex scene that may be uncomfortable to some readers

I’m going to be honest- I am a John Green apologist. He deconstructs the manic pixie dream girl so well, especially in this novel, until she is raw and bleeding and something almost hideous. Pudge is an unreliable narrator- he sees Alaska through rose colored glasses and that’s the point. Men are unreliable narrators. He didn’t see her until SPOILER it was too late. John Green manages to spin a novel of lust, obsession and big red warning signs again, and this one happens to be my favorite.
