I have loved this series from the start and can not get enough of the original cast of characters. I’m already anticipating the next book, as I do with every book before it.

Have you read this series? I just put book one on hold at the library because this one was that good! Seriously. How did I miss book one???

A secret community hidden away to protect the members from threats. A strong female detective lead and a great supporting cast. A missing boy in a remote wooded setting.

I flew through this one. It’s well written and I was engaged from start to finish. The core characters are likable and layered. And the relationships between the community was interesting and complex. The tension built throughout the story and had me on the edge of my seat at times. And I could feel the woods and danger around me as I read this one.

All the stars from me.

Every single Rockton book and now Haven’s Rock book has me attempting to savor it but in the end I always devour it within a day. Kelley Armstrong’s writing style has to be one of my favorites with her perfect pacing, descriptive atmosphere and thrilling action scenes. I think the Haven’s Rock town folks have to be one of my favorite characters of all the series I read and every time I finish a book I miss them and can’t wait to be back among them in the next one. This mystery was extremely intriguing, entertaining and well written.

I read book 1 to prepare for this ARC only to find out there are 7 more books of the previous series I needed to read! I am so glad that I did, I could not love this series more!! I love all the relationships in the series, even the tense ones! I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment and to see what kind of parents they are going to be!

Write fast, Kelley Armstrong! This is my 2nd series from her that I have enjoyed very much, she is now on my always-read list!

This was one I didn't see the plot twist coming like usual. I know these books are a little intense and suspenseful that I usually read, but Kelley Armstrong writes my comfort characters. Although the
accidental pregnancy did annoy me a little bit I am happy for Casey and Eric
. The banter not just between Casey and Eric but the rest of the town. I also loved Max's train of thought and his form of logic. Just goes to show don't underestimate children.
