Good continuation of series and character growth with main characters.
Ends with some unresolved threads that I assume will be picked up in the next book.
Probably not a good read as a stand-alone.

Set in the secluded town of Haven’s Rock, Armstrong weaves a tale of mystery and danger as Detective Casey Duncan and Sheriff Eric Dalton find themselves facing a chilling new threat. The premise of a town sheltering those who need to disappear adds depth to the story, creating an atmosphere of suspense and intrigue. Armstrong’s masterful storytelling keeps readers engaged with well-paced suspense and an array of compelling characters. From the eerie woods to the enigmatic occurrences, every page holds an element of surprise. As a devoted fan of the series, I couldn’t be more pleased with this latest installment. Armstrong’s talent shines through in her ability to craft a gripping narrative that leaves readers eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the Haven's Rock saga.

I have loved this series from the start and can not get enough of the original cast of characters. I’m already anticipating the next book, as I do with every book before it.
