I enjoyed this book, amazing read.
I would recommend this for people who both enjoy and don’t enjoy horror because it just provides information on how black people have influence the horror movies as early as 1968.
I enjoyed that the book was written in a way that I felt like I was reading a blog post because the book made me laugh and agree with so much stuff the authors were writing about.
Let’s discuss how the book goes into detail about the influence of black people and horror. The book is able to separate how being white is so much different than being black in a horror film. The use of representation that in the book is flawless including the LGBTQ+ and how that influenced horror movies
Lastly, i’m creating a list of all the movies mentioned and if you want just lmk also would recommend if you like horror if you want the list

Received a feee copy through a Goodreads giveaway.
A fun history of horror media that keeps things lighthearted while still being informative. Some chapters did get a bit repetitive with the numerous examples per paragraph, and I wish there had been a bit more analysis to supplement these sections instead of just pure plot synopsis. Still a good time overall though!

Towards the end felt repetitive but it works best as a audiobook
