This book was cute. I liked the cultural diversity of the characters and the anxiety awareness. As an immigrant kid with anxiety, I understand how hard it is to set boundaries with parents, and this book showcased that wonderfully. It wasn’t life-changing, but I’m glad I read it.

i love this book. so. much. i’m an eldest daughter who is desi and has anxiety with very strict parents and this book just spoke to me.

every time karina had a panic attack or got anxious about something, i would  always understand and it’s so fucking refreshing to see a character just like me.

i highlight things in blue when i want to remember them or go back to them for quotes or if i relate to them, and when i tell you so much of this book was in blue.
there’s this feeling you get when a author basically takes you for everything you are and puts you in a book, when you find a character you relate to entirely. i’m having that feeling right now and it’s wonderful. thank you tashie for this wonderful representation.
